Dr. Andrew Megison joins oral surgery practice

Dr. Andrew Megison has joined the Oral Surgery team at the Center for Oral Facial and Implant Surgery and Associates.

Megison is a native of Chattanooga and attended Baylor School before heading to Louisiana State University where he received a degree in biology. He then received his dental degree from the LSU School of Dentistry in 2015.

Megison’s completed a six-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans in 2021, where he also received his medical degree and completed a one-year general surgery internship.


Gaither and Ibach join Austin Hatcher Foundation

The Austin Hatcher Foundation announces the addition of two new staff members to its growing team.

Michaela Gaither has joined the foundation as its new child and family services coordinator.

Gaither graduated from Lee University with her bachelor’s degree in sociology and recently obtained her master’s degree in social work from Louisiana State University. She is responsible for planning enrichment events for families and coordinating care for new and existing families.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Austin Hatcher team because I have always had a passion for working with children and families,” said Gaither. “I am looking forward to supporting the foundation’s families as they receive the amazing services that we provide at the Austin Hatcher Foundation.”

Sydney Ibach has joined the foundation as its new graphic designer and photographer.

Ibach graduated with a degree in graphic design from Chattanooga State Community College. She also has extensive experience photographing large events for private parties and organizations in the Chattanooga area. Ibach served as the foundation’s graphic design intern prior to being added as a full-time staff member. She is responsible for supporting the AHFPC mission through brand marketing, creative design, and photography.

“I am so excited to join the foundation staff because of the incredible mission they strive towards,” said Ibach. “AHFPC’s impact on the lives of pediatric cancer patients and their families is amazing, and I am so grateful to be a part of it.”


HHM CPAs promotes staff

HHM CPAs, a full service CPA and consulting firm, announces the promotion of professionals within the Chattanooga office. The promotions include senior managers, managers, supervisors and senior accountants.

The new senior managers include Stephenie Greene and Chase Lloyd. Stephenie Greene was promoted to senior manager in the tax department. Greene has been with the firm since 2017. Chase Lloyd was promoted to senior manager in the audit department and rejoined the firm in 2019 after working for six years in the Western U.S.

Brad Culbreth and Chelsea O’Shields were promoted to manager in the dealership services group. John Eger and Jessica Hetzler were promoted to manager in the management advisory services group.

The professionals promoted to supervisor include Ellie Benoit, Kyle Briner, Marissa Cruz, Maria Krechetova, Amber Mueller and Austin Sams. Similarly, Jessica Boles, Blake Bryson, Alex Foote, Jessica Seard, Chris van der Merwe and Madeline Wade were promoted to senior accountant.

“As our firm continues to see immense growth, these professionals have stepped up to lead different areas of our team,” said Donnie Hutcherson, HHM managing partner. “Each professional promoted has shown extensive ability and desire to advance his or her career.”


Rehm named vice chair in UT plastic surgery college

Dr. Jason Rehm has been appointed vice chair of the department of plastic surgery with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine/Health Science Center in Chattanooga.

The University of Tennessee College of Medicine and Health Science Center is a medical education science institute providing the highest quality of state-of-the-art education for medical students, residents, and fellows. Rehm teaches and engages in scholarly activity and clinical research to provide the highest level of healthcare for area patients and trains physicians who are pursuing residency and fellowship training following graduation from medical school. UTHSC is a statewide system with campuses in Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga.

Rehm’s specialty is plastic and hand surgery. He has special areas of interest and expertise in hand surgery, general plastic and reconstructive surgery, microvascular, maxillofacial trauma, and aesthetic surgery.

He is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He completed general surgery training at the University of Nebraska in Omaha, and plastic and reconstructive surgery training at UTCOM in Chattanooga. After completing plastic surgery residency, he completed a fellowship in hand/microvascular surgery at the University of Mississippi in Jackson.

Rehm joined RefinedLooks Plastic Surgery and Hayes Hand Center in August 2004. He is board certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is an active member of the local Chattanooga Hamilton County Medical Society as well as numerous societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgery.


Legacy Senior Living names Ray as VP of asset management

Legacy Senior Living, which operates a family of senior living and memory care communities throughout the Southeast, has promoted Blake Ray to vice president of asset management.

In his new role, Ray will help Legacy Senior Living acquire strategic new developments that will grow its capacity for serving seniors and their families with its time-tested model of care. He will oversee construction and renovation projects, coordinate facility financing, and support executive leadership in real estate and operational analysis.

Since joining Legacy Senior Living in 2014, Ray has served in a variety of other leadership roles, including administrator in training, special projects coordinator and financial analyst.

“During his successful tenure as executive director of our Renaissance Marquis community in Rome, Georgia, Blake found his passion in special projects. He supervised a full-scale renovation of the 100,000-square-foot Class A property, upgrading it to the region’s undisputed premier senior living community. Blake has always taken our mission of serving with excellence to heart, and his proven leadership within our organization has continued to impress us,” Bryan Cook, founder and president of Legacy Senior Living, said.
